This project contains 3 distinct main course categories that combined provide over 300 hours of life, service, and business skills training to inner city and rural youth and young adults. Each course is initiated by a skills assessment and followed up and supported with a personal educator, mentor-ship, coaching and tutoring.
Rural and suburban youth have some of the same challenges as our inner city youth. At-risk youth were affected in large numbers across the U.S. by one or more risk factors that have been linked to academic failure. Risk factors like illicit drug use, alcohol use, school failure, tobacco use, antisocial behavior, violence, sexual activity, attempted suicide, and family economic hardship.
Our courses service rural, suburban and inner city youth and are designed for male and female students ranging from middle school to high school and young adults from 16 – 25 years of age.
Courses will include classroom, audio and video training, break out sessions, online line activities, quizzes and more. At the end of each course students will receive a certificate of completion and other benefits.
